James Mills

Dr. Jim Mills is a Tuscaloosa native. He is a 1973 graduate of Tuscaloosa Academy and a 1977 graduate of the University of Ala-bama where he studied Biology, English and Classical Heritage. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Uni-versity of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1981 then completed his postdoctoral Endodontic Residency at the Veterans Medical Center and UAB in 1983. He has been in private practice in Tuscaloosa since August of 1983.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, past pres-ident of the 6th District Dental Society and past president of the Alabama Association of Endodontists. He serves as a part-time adjunct associate professor of Endodontics at the UAB School of Dentistry.

He and his wife Annette were married in 1979 and have two children and 8 grandchildren.

Jim is a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa and the Covenant Sunday School Class. He is an active board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Alabama. He and Annette frequently lead medical and dental missions to Hon-duras, working with the Hands of Christ Ministries in underserved rural communities.

When not at the office Jim enjoys cooking, playing racquetball, duck and deer hunting, turkey hunting with Annette, enjoying his grandchildren’s various activities and University of Alabama athletics. Roll Tide !!
